Products Updates [July 2024]
We’ve been quietly working on updates over the summer. Here’s a quick rundown of updates released in July.
ABC-Style Coloring on Main Schedule View
Fire departments that use 24/48, 48/96, or other ABC shift patterns will love this feature. This allows agencies to use ABC-style coloring directly on the Main Schedule View. This view is the same logic built into the ABC shift calendars. Colors can be customized for each agency.
Displaying Activity Hierarchy in Activity View
Activities in the Activity View are now organized by hierarchy, with nested colors. If an activity is a sub-activity (gray), it will be assigned under the parent activity (black). This helps users quickly identify activities, especially in larger agencies/departments.
Limiting Recurring Open Shifts to Single Notification
Normally, when a supervisor creates a recurring Open Shift and selects Send Invite Notification, a text and email notification is sent to an employee(s). However, if this is a weekly or daily shift for the entire year, the user would receive a very large number of notifications.
We simplified the experience by only sending one message for a recurring open shift. This will help reduce the volume of emails and texts employees receive on a daily basis.
