Product Updates [February 2025]
We’ve got a series of updates designed to improve the experience with Hero Schedule. Here’s a breakdown of the key improvements and fixes implemented in Version 25.1.4 and 24.12.9:
Enhanced Activity View and Overtime Management
Chronological Shift Ordering

The activity view now displays shifts in chronological order, providing a clearer and more intuitive overview of scheduled events.
Overtime Request Transparency
We’ve added the requester’s name to overtime approval details. Now, you can easily see who submitted an overtime request, both in the day view and on the “Approve Requests” page, ensuring greater accountability and clarity.
Overtime Basis Date Fix
Resolved an issue where overtime requests with adjusted basis dates weren’t appearing correctly on the day detail popup. This fix ensures that overtime extensions are accurately displayed on the appropriate day.
Improved Functionality and Bug Fixes
- Shift Trade Optimization: We’ve addressed a performance regression in shift trading, resulting in faster and more reliable shift trade processing. Additionally, a time zone issue that caused shifts to display under incorrect dates in the shift trade window has been resolved.
- Custom Date Range Accuracy: Fixed a bug where selecting a 28-day custom date range would automatically expand to the entire month. Now, the selected range will accurately reflect your chosen dates.
- Pay Period Configuration: Addressed an issue where setting the last period of the year would fail when no pay periods had been previously closed.
- Minimum Staff Rules: Corrected a bug that prevented minimum staff rules from displaying on the admin screen when no activities were set up with a rule.
